Austria's Diamond Aircraft Industries has inaugurated its 10,900m2 (117,000ft2) composites facility, following a seven-month building programme at its base in Wiener Neustadt, near Vienna. The factory will house production of wings and fuselages for the four-seat diesel-engine DA42 Twin Star and the single-jet five-seat D-JET, both under development. The facility is designed to boost annual production capacity to 600 aircraft.
