Airbus Industrie has selected Honeywell's GG1320 digital ring-laser gyro as a replacement for analogue ring-laser gyros in its A319, A320, A321, A330 and A340 types. The GG1320 is scheduled to be certificated on the A320 as part of the US avionics manufacturer's air-data/inertial-reference system in December. It will then be certificated on the A330/340 in the first quarter of 1997.
