Space Shuttle Discovery landed at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida at 17:32 on 22 December 2006 after a two-week mission in which the International Space Station's (ISS) power system was rewired, the Port 5 truss attached and three small satellites launched from the orbiter's payload bay.

Thomas Reiter returned to Earth with Discovery's crew. He had been on board the ISS since July working as space station flight engineer, a role that now belongs to Discovery crew member Sunita Williams.
