Spirent Systems has been awarded a supplemental type certificate by the US Federal Aviation Administration to fit its engine instrument display to the Boeing 747-300. The displays produced by the former Penny & Giles company show the engines' pressure, fuel exhaust and speed parameters in an analogue style.
