Thirty-four people are listed by the Russian emergency situations ministry as having died in today's Moscow Domodedovo Airport terminal bombing.
Russia's Government has described the event as a "terrorist attack". The explosion, in the vicinity of the international arrivals hall, resulted in another 74 being hospitalised.
In a statement the ministry says 138 personnel and 34 vehicles responded to the explosion.
Russian health minister Tatyana Golikova, while providing an update to prime minister Vladimir Putin, said several of those hospitalised were suffering "very serious" injuries.
"Usually in such situations the number of severely and very severely injured increases as time passes," she told him.
International arrivals are handled at the eastern end of the main terminal building, which is sited north of the apron. Amateur video footage shows the building interior in a dust haze with debris and several casualties lying on the floor.
While operations at the airport were disrupted for a time, Domodedovo operator East Line Group states that flights are arriving and departing normally.
Several international services, however, are listed as having been cancelled, including flights by Lufthansa, Iberia and Austrian.
