Cobham looks east

Cobham chief executive Allan Cook has expressed cautious optimism about emerging markets, looking east to business opportunities as a counter-point to the impact of the reduced American participation at Paris.

He said: "With the economy improving slightly, the Iraq war behind us and the containment of SARS, which we've been continuing to monitor, we are cautiously optimistic about a future, which will certainly include the Far East markets. Over the coming years, this will be one of the biggest growth areas.
