NASA, Lockheed Martin and Boeing's Rocketdyne division engineers are preparing the final phase of qualification testing of the XRS-2200 Linear Aerospike engine for the X-33 half-scale suborbital technology demonstrator at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. The previous 14 tests have involved one engine but the final tests will use two powerplants in simultaneous firings in their flight configuration.
