Saudi Arabian low-cost carrier Sama has resumed service on the Riyadh-Sharjah route.

The carrier says the service, which was suspended early this year, was relaunched on 11 November with three weekly flights. Sama also serves Sharjah from Jeddah three times a week.

Sharjah, just down the road from Dubai, is the main base for low-cost carrier Air Arabia. The Riyadh-Sharjah route is now served by Air Arabia with one daily flight and by Saudi low-cost carrier NAS Air with four weekly flights. Sama is now offering a 49 riyals ($13) pre-tax promotional fare on the route.
