Emirates has followed up its huge order for Airbus and Boeing aircraft with a $600 million-plus commitment for premium-class seats, inflight entertainment and other cabin equipment for new and existing aircraft. B/E Aerospace will supply $120 million-worth of first-class suites and business-class seats for retrofit to existing 777-300ERs and A340-500s and line fit on new 777s and A380s. The airline has ordered Panasonic Avionics’ eX2 audio/video-on-demand IFE equipment to the value of $500 million, and Jamco America is to provide new interiors – including closets, class dividers and lavatories - for 33 existing Boeing 777-300ERs and 777-200s.
