Abu Dhabi-based start up Saraya Aviation has ordered three Gulfstream G450 jets for its new charter flight operation. The aircraft will be delivered in early 2010 and the deal, at list prices, is worth $104 million.

“These new aircraft complement our strategy of maintaining a presence beyond the Middle East and North Africa region by offering leisure destinations and exciting air charter services to clients worldwide,” says Ali Kolaghassi, Saraya Holdings vice chairman and chief operating officer. “We are confident the safety, reliability and comfort of the G450, along with the support of the Gulfstream name, will server Saraya Aviation and its customers extremely well.”

The G450 is capable of 4,350nm range and cruise speeds up to Mach 0.88. The G450 is the successor to the GIV/G400 series of aircraft and was certificated in 2004. Gulfstream says it has a dispatch reliability rate of 99.76% and features the PlaneView cockpit and Gulfstream’s enhanced vision system (EVS).

Gulfstream president Joe Lombardo says: “Like Saraya, we believe the demand for charter air travel will continue to rise. Also like Saraya, we are dedicated to offering only the best for our customer. We look forward to working with Saraya Aviation as they expand their enterprise.”
