Hong Kong’s business aviation operation C Jet is set to become the first customer for a VIP version of the Airbus A350 XWB, having also just ordered an Airbus Corporate Jetliner.
Airbus has designated the executive A350 XWB as the ‘Prestige’. C Jet chairman Tony Chan says the aircraft will be “tremendous” owing to its range and spacious cabin.
“It will be the VIP widebody of the future,” he adds. The A350 XWB is currently only available with Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines.
C Jet also ordered an ACJ during the Dubai air show, which will be fitted with CFM International CFM56 engines. It will be operated on behalf of C Jet by BAA Jet Management, which previously placed orders for an ACJ and an executive A318.
