The TAG Aircraft Interiors/Versace luxury interiors team (Chalet A28-29) is here to debut a reclining armchair for the Airbus ACJ and Boeing BBJ corporate/VIP aircraft.

Bearing the Italian design house’s signature Greek fret motif, the seat is the latest addition to the TAG/Versace catalogue of interiors for the Bombardier Global XRS and Gulfstream 550 as well as the ACJ and BBJ.

The catalogue was unveiled at the EBACE business aviation show in Geneva earlier this year. Intended as a work of art in its own right, the catalogue is a limited-issue, silk-bound collector’s item for presentation to the high-net-worth clientele that TAG/Versace hopes to attract.

The new armchair has the Versace motif embroidered on white leather and also features armrests with lacquered satin-finish inserts. Looks are matched by utility, according to the partners, through an ergonomic design adapted to the human shape for maximum comfort.

TAG/Versace’s first contract, for a luxury interior to be installed in an ACJ due to enter service with a European private individual in the fourth quarter of next year, was announced last May. The ACJ will accommodate up to 16 passengers in a four-compartment arrangement comprising salon, galley, office and stateroom with bathroom.

Versace, which has already created helicopter interiors for Agusta, is responsible for content, design and style, while TAG AI handles the sales, marketing, logistical and technical aspects, including selection of a completion centre to carry out the physical work on the aircraft.
