West African carrier Air Senegal has signed for Airbus A220-300s at the Dubai air show.

The memorandum of understanding covers eight aircraft for delivery from 2021.

Air Senegal says the aircraft will be delivered at a rate of two aircraft annually.

Airbus declined to disclose the value of the deal.

Cirium fleets data shows that Air Senegal has four Airbus jets in service: a trio of A319 narrowbodies and one A330 widebody.

The flag carrier also operates a pair of ATR 72 turboprops.
