Emirates has signed long-term maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) contracts with General Electric (GE), Goodrich and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M).
With GE, the Dubai-based airline has arranged a 12-year support agreement for airframe components for its Boeing 777 fleet.
The contract covers maintenance and inventory services for certain avionics, electrical power and mechanical equipment for the carrier's existing and ordered 777 fleets, comprising a total of 153 aircraft. The equipment will be serviced at GE facilities in the UK, the USA and Asia.

Goodrich has been selected as maintenance provider for the escape slides of the Emirates' Airbus A380 fleet for the next 10 years. The US company manufactures the emergency equipment and has an MRO facility in Dubai.
Emirates and Goodrich has also signed a general terms agreement that is to provide a framework for all future MRO contracts.
AFI KLM E&M will service certain components on the carrier's 777 and Airbus A330/A340 fleets.
