Attending Asian Aerospace has helped Dubai Air Show boost its exhibitor numbers, according to aerospace director Alison Weller. “We have just a few booth spaces left for Dubai 2007. There has been a lot of interest here” she says.

This will be the 10th biennial Dubai air show and the last at the current airport expo site before it moves in 2009 to a purpose-built exhibition centre at the new Dubai World Central location. “The Middle East market is growing rapidly and it is very much a niche market. People doing business with the Arab world have found it valuable to be part of the show,” Weller says.

The show organiser, Fairs and Exhibitions, is a specialist Middle Eastern exhibition company. As well as promoting the Dubai Air Show, F&E is giving details on the Middle East Business Aircraft (MEBA) conference and exhibition run in conjunction with the Middle East Business Aviation Association, and AIME, a new show focusing on the aircraft interiors business for Middle Eastern customers.

Dubai Airshow runs from November 11-15, 2007; AIME is 16-18 June, 2008; and MEBA is November 23-25, 2008.
