Dunlop Aerospace Services has won a major contract to maintain wheels and brakes on 34 Thomsonfly Boeing aircraft.

The five-year contract involves outsourcing the Thomsonfly - formerly Britannia Airways - wheel and brake service facility in Luton, with Dunlop providing a total wheel and brake repair, overhaul and logistics programme. The contract will be managed from Dunlop's Coventry facility, with logistics co-ordinated across 15 Thomsonfly UK line stations.

The fleet being serviced by Dunlop comprises 19 Boeing 757s, predominantly equipped with Dunlop Aerospace wheels and carbon brakes, and 13 Boeing 767s, fitted with a mixture of Honeywell and Messier equipment and two Goodrich-equipped Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
