Dunlop Aircraft Tyres (Hall 1, C1), a regular exhibitor at Farnborough, has seen a major shift in the nature of its business.
"We work with companies like Honeywell and Goodrich," says programme manager Ray Fletcher.
"Over the past four or five years, we've seen the business change quite a lot. We supply tyres for integrated systems a lot more these days."
Dunlop is the only European-based company to combine new aircraft tyre manufacturing and retreading at a single site. Dunlop's retreading facility in Birmingham, already one of the most modern in the world, is now being refurbished.
Improvements will include a streamlined tyre intake system, an automated shearographic inspection system and the re-engineering of the tyre inspection area.
