Rolls-Royce has contracted a number of Dunlop Aerospace companies to provide heat management technology for the Trent 900 engine that will power the new Airbus A380 aircraft, it was announced at the show.

The fuel-cooled main engine oil cooler is designed and manufactured by Serck Aviation, while oil for the variable frequency generator is air-cooled by a heat exchanger from Stewart Warner South Wind.

In addition, Dunlop Aerospace Ice Protection and Composites will supply an air duct to the VFG cooler.
