Those with a sentimental streak will be pleased to see the name of Fokker is not entirely absent from Dubai '97.
Fokker Elmo is one of the 30-plus companies represented at the show under the umbrella of the Netherlands Aerospace Group (NAG) at Stand A794.
The Group, incorporating companies involved in civil, military and space programmes, makes an effort not just to sell the individual companies or indeed their aviation expertise.
It positions them as part of a strong and stable economy and emphasises the Netherlands' role in the European Union.
