Dyncorp has teamed with Alaska’s Temsco Helicopters to re-engine the Bell 205A-1 with the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6C-67D, increasing hot-and-high performance and improving fuel economy. The work is based on Dyncorp’s PT6C-67D upgrade for the military UH-1H. Certification is set for early 2007. The Honeywell T5317-powered 205A-1 is used for firefighting, law enforcement and seismic operations.
