Embraer has secured US FAA type certification for the E-190, enabling it to start deliveries to launch customer JetBlue Airways this month. The manufacturer says it expects certification from European and Canadian regulators soon. JetBlue was originally due to have taken its first 100-seat E-190 late last month, but now expects deliveries to begin in mid-September.
