Flybe is about to begin talks over its remaining Embraer 195 options, potentially taking its fleet to 20 of the type.

Flybe chief commercial officer Mike Rutter says that discussions over the carrier's 12 E-195 options should begin around July and are likely to run over the next six months.

The regional carrier has 14 E-195s on firm order, of which four have been delivered. Rutter says that Flybe has options for a further 12 of the type. He says: "We are talking about a minimum [E-195 fleet] of 16 and a maximum of 20, including the options."

This suggests Flybe could convert up to six of its 12 E-195 options over the coming six months.
