Airline-led internet marketplace Aeroxchange has added China Airlines and Transavia Airlines as affiliate members, boosting the number to 31. The airlines will gain access to Aeroxchange's on-line services, including co-operative purchasing and parts reliability, inventory and maintenance management services. Iberia has become one of the first airlines to purchase fuel via the internet through the Jet-A.com portal. The Spanish carrier is using the site to post public bids for aviation fuel at 25 airports in 12 countries. Jet-A.com, developed by 25 airlines and six oil refiners, is designed to simplify fuel buying. Aviation solutions provider Aircraft Management Technologies (AMT) has launched eTechlog - an electronic aircraft technical log. ETechlog allows operations and maintenance information to be electronically entered by pilots, cabin crew and ground engineers, for transmission to a web-based aircraft data server during turnaround, with the information made available to the airline and its maintenance provider. Irish company AMT says eTechlog can save $100,000 per aircraft each year through enhanced resource allocation. Continental Airlines has launched an on-line travel management service for small and medium-sized businesses. The RewardOne Travel Manager allows US-based companies to make hotel, car rental and airline bookings on-line. NASA has chosen aerospace database specialist USA Information Systems to provide electronic access to technical standards documentation at the space agency's sites. Delta Air Lines' on-line bookings during the first week of May reached a record 90,000, representing more than $25 million in revenue, according to the airline.
