SAirGroup and its Qualiflyer Group partners are financing a pan-European online travel portal, Beyoo, which will enable customers to book flights, hotel rooms and rental cars. The first internet-based exchange for trading gas turbine engines has been launched by a group of former aeronautical engineers. UK-based gasGenie.com features almost £30 million ($45.5 million) worth of engines for sale. Boeing has added engineering drawings for almost all Boeing and Douglas airliners, searchable parts lists and the Boeing fleet status report to its myBoeingfleet.com site. Chinese travel website Et-china.com and China Southern Airlines have established an e-commerce sales and distribution joint venture. Iberia aims to cut procurement costs by up to 20% through a B2B site with other Spanish companies.
