Three US majors have announced improvements to speed up interlining with e-tickets. Partners Continental Airlines and Northwest Airlines have teamed together to develop a new product that allows customers to use e-tickets across both airlines.
United Airlines has launched a similar product, designed to work in conjunction with fellow Star Alliance member Air Canada. e-ticketing has come in for some criticism from the travel press in recent months due to shortcomings with interlining.
