EADS is to supply Malaysia with two TRML-3D surveillance and tracking acquisition radar systems.
The multimode phased array radars are designed for short- and medium-range detection, tracking and classification of targets, with particular emphasis on small, fast and low-flying aircraft, missiles and hovering helicopters.
The system, to be supplied to Malaysia in early 2008, is a mobile 3D radar with an integrated secondary radar system and operator workstations contained in a single vehicle.
