As Flight International closed for press the United Arab Emirates ordered four EADS Casa C295 Persuader maritime patrol and anti-submarine aircraft in a deal valued at Dhs515 million ($140 million). The aircraft was demonstrated during the IDEX show in Abu Dhabi. A delivery date was not available, but EADS says it can deliver three years after an order is placed.
