Airbus chief controlling officer Harald Wilhelm is to take over the chief financial officer's post at the airframer next month, responsibility for which has been lately handled by EADS finance chief Hans Peter Ring.
Ring assumed the additional role at the end of October 2006 as a result of pressure for better integration between Airbus and EADS in the wake of delays to the A380 programme.
But EADS says the integration of finance functions "has now been achieved". Wilhelm will take over as Airbus chief financial officer from 1 February. Ring will continue as EADS chief financial officer.
