Embraer's Lineage 1000 executive transport today won type certification from both the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and ANAC, Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency.
On tap for the E190 derivative are FAA airframe certification and a supplemental type certificate for the custom interior, both of which are expected soon, says the airframer.
The Lineage 1000's range has been extended to 4,400nm (8,149km) with eight passengers, or 4,500nm with four passengers. The $41 million CF34-powered aircraft, of which more than 20 have been sold, is certified for 120-minute extended range twin-engine operations (ETOPS).
The Lineage is expected to enter service with the first customer in the first quarter of 2009.
