UK airline Eastern Airways has taken delivery of an Embraer ERJ-135 regional jet and signed a lease agreement for a second, boosting its fleet to 30 aircraft. The 40-seat twin-engined aircraft will be dedicated corporate and large group transport throughout Europe. "We have operated Embraers in the past and the time is right to reintroduce this fast 37-seater to fill a gap primarily in the charter market serving central and eastern Europe," says Eastern Airways' chief operating officer Chris Holliday.
