Dassault Aviation says it expects to receive European and US certification for its Falcon 900EX EASy cockpit by 14 November, in advance of delivery of the first EASy cockpit-equipped aircraft on 17 November. Certification had been delayed by software problems (Flight International, 24-30 June).
The EASy cockpit, co-developed with Honeywell, replaces a Rockwell Collins Pro Line 4 electronic flight instrument system with four 185mm (7.25in) liquid crystal displays (LCD) and three 76mm engine instrument LCDs with four large 360mm-diagonal displays and a graphical user interface designed to increase situational awareness.
