UK budget carrier EasyJet has converted its last remaining 27 options for baseline Airbus A320s.
The carrier will take delivery of the aircraft from 2015 to 2018, it states.
“This provides EasyJet with the flexibility to continue to execute its proven strategy of disciplined growth and to take advantage of profitable market opportunities,” the airline says.
It had stated in its half-year results that it still held purchase rights for 27 A320 and 100 A320neo jets.

EasyJet says it will probably have a fleet of 304 aircraft by 2019 as a result of the converted options, compared with 226 at the end of this month.
But it adds that its fleet strategy enables it to adjust the number of aircraft from 204 to 316 by 2019.
“We are bringing new aircraft into the fleet as we continue to see a significant number of new profitable opportunities in our core markets in the near term, and in order to maintain our cost advantage,” says EasyJet chief Carolyn McCall.
EasyJet’s all-Airbus fleet is powered by CFM International CFM56 engines.
Airbus has confirmed the carrier’s exercised options, stating that it takes EasyJet’s combined order for the A320 and A320neo families to 415.
