EasyJet has had a base in Lisbon since 2012 and currently serves the Portuguese airports of Faro and Funchal airports, in addition to Porto. It is growing presence in the country and carried 3.8 million passengers on Portuguese routes over the last 12 months.
This includes 800,000 through Porto, which EasyJet currently serves from Basel, Geneva, London Gatwick, Lyon, Paris Charles de Gaulle and Toulouse.
Flightglobal's Innovata schedules show that EasyJet is already the third-largest operator from Porto, behind TAP Portgual and Ryanair, in terms of departing seats.
