US manufacturer Eaton is to buy the fluid and air division activities of UK aerospace firm Cobham. The £150 million ($223 million) deal covers the sale of Cobham’s FR Hi-Temp units in the USA and UK, Stanley Aviation in the USA, and Stanley Corporation Europe in France. The businesses design and manufacture hydraulic and air distribution assemblies, composite struts and shafts, and fuel pumps and fuel components. Last year UK division FR Hi-Temp was selected by Boeing to provide fuel pumps for the 787.
