Swiss-based ExecuJet is bullish about its future as it continues to expand its worldwide presence. The company is setting up new national headquarters for Russia, India and China, and has continued its expansion into Europe with the opening of a UK base in March.

The new Russian office, in Moscow, already has two sales representatives “to support a booming market where three to four business jets are being delivered each month”, according to Gerrit Basson, ExecuJet group managing director.

The primary sales focus of the Moscow office will be for Grob’s spN light jet and Aerion’s SBJ. “Moscow underlines our dedication to long-lasting and strong relationships with Russia’s business aviation world – a rapidly growing market which we feel deserves a permanent presence,” Basson says.

The company’s expansion into Asia is testament to the growing demand for business aviation in the Asia-Pacific region. The Indian office, in Mumbai, will initially focus on the SimplyFly ownership model, as well as sales of all its representative brands – the Bombardier range of business jets and Grob’s spN light jet.

“We clearly recognise the growing requirements from business jet owners in India for professional business jet services,” says Basson. He intends to develop the office to establish a local aircraft management division, a charter office and a full maintenance facility from where it can best support the huge numbers of jets that are coming into the Indian market.

Earlier in the year ExecuJet opened facilities at Singapore’s Seletar airport in February and the new Beijing office supports the region’s demands. “There are 300 business jets operating in Asia-Pacific so far, and the majority are privately owned. So there is plenty of opportunity for an experienced organisation like ExecuJet to further bolster the number jets flying in the region,” he adds.
