CAE training partner Aircare Solutions has completed its first round of crew member emergency procedures training in Amsterdam for customers who are entitled to receive the three-day courses when buying Bombardier business jets.

Bombardier began offering the safety courses with Global Express purchases in 2002. Aircare's newly completed Amsterdam base, which operates in tandem with CAE's Challenger training operations and full-flight simulators there, includes crew training for emergency cabin egress on land and in the water, in-flight smoke and fire, in-flight medical emergencies and hypoxia awareness. Aircare has four fixed bases - three in the US and one in Amsterdam, as well as five mobile simulators for the training.

Martin Hamilton, Aircare's vice-president of marketing and business development, says Challenger 300, Challenger 605 and Global Express customers are entitled to three places on the course, while Learjet buyers will receive two places.

Along with FACTS Aircrew Emergency Procedures Training, Aircare Solutions offers medical assistance services, medical kit management and staffing services, as well as a variety of emergency procedures training offerings for business aviation and government customers.

The training can be scheduled to coincide with Bombardier aircraft heavy maintenance work and large inspections at the two-year-old service centre in Amsterdam.
