Training provider and simulator manufacturer CAE is extending its upset recovery training programme to Europe after a successful launch in the USA.
The new service - one of a slew of announcements made by the Canadian company during the show - will be offered to business aviation pilots at Seppe airport, Bosschenhoofd in the Netherlands, with the in-simulator portion taking place at CAE's Amsterdam training centre. Upset prevention and recovery training (UPRT) is already available at CAE training centres in Phoenix and Dallas.
"CAE customers in Europe will be able to co-ordinate UPRT events along with initial and recurrent training programmes close to home and in one visit," says Rob Lewis, CAE vice-president for business aviation, helicopter and maintenance training. "UPRT training provides life-saving techniques and we are very pleased to be able to offer this valuable service in Europe."
CAE also signed a multi-year contract renewal with ExecuJet for business aviation training on more than 40 aircraft types - including Bombardier, Cessna, Dassault, Gulfstream, Hawker Beechcraft, Boeing, Airbus and Embraer aircraft.
ExecuJet pilots from the USA, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australia will train at CAE centres in Mexico City; Amsterdam; Sao Paulo; Melbourne, Australia; Shanghai; Dubai; London; New York; Phoenix and Dallas.
"We are delighted that ExecuJet has continued confidence in CAE to help them achieve their training objectives," says Jeff Roberts, group president, civil simulation products, training and services.
