Bombardier and Gulfstream are launching their most ambition aircraft on ground fix-it teams to date to keep winged World Cup soccer fans on their game.
Gulfstream is sending nine field service representatives and technicians along with $6 million in spare parts and one of its two airborne product support Astra business jets to South Africa for the month-long event that starts 11 June.
Bombardier is sending a team of its own field service representatives, parts logistics experts and mobile repair engineers to support its fleet. The airframer has also teamed with ExecuJet South Africa for access to their eight Learjet, six Challenger and four Global Express engineers. Also available on standby will be an aircraft dedicated for emergencies.
