Embraer has received European Aviation Safety Agency certification for version 7.1 of its Traffic Collision Avoidance System II (TCAS II) across its entire portfolio of in-service executive jets.
The update adopts changes made to TCAS II Version 7.0 and will enhance safety by improving the reversal logic of TCAS II to ensure that Resolution Advisories are triggered in certain situations where two aircraft are climbing or descending simultaneously or in encounters in which the aircraft remain within 100 vertical feet (30m) of each other.
Embraer will now issue a service bulletin to operators.
