Training partners Bombardier (stand 1701) and CAE (stand 1063) are deploying five new CAE-built full-flight simulators (FFS) through next year at facilities in Europe and the USA. The expansion is part of a 20-year authorised training provider agreement that was signed by the two companies in 2007.
Last month CAE qualified a Learjet simulator at its Burgess Hill training centre in the UK, covering the Learjet 40 and 40XR as well as the Learjet 45 and 45XR - making it the first FFS in Europe for the models. The company is also developing a Challenger 300 full-flight simulator that it will deploy to an undisclosed location in Europe in the third quarter of this year. In addition a Challenger 604 FFS from Montreal will be redeployed to CAE's Amsterdam training centre by the first quarter of 2011.
Bombardier is augmenting capacity at its company-owned training centres with a new CAE-built Challenger 605 simulator in the Dallas facility in the fourth quarter of 2010 and a Global Vision FFS in Montreal in the first quarter of 2011. Global Vision is a cockpit upgrade for the Global 5000 and Global Express XRS aircraft, replacing the integrated Honeywell Primus 2000XP cockpit with a Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion suite from 2012.
