HighTech Finishing (stand 666) is seeking to grow the European customer base for its decorative metals plating services.
The Texan company, which serves only the aviation industry, has four categories of customer, saysvice-president of sales and marketing Rick Niefield. These are aircraft manufacturers, completions centres, refurbishment centresand designers.
Client programmes identified by Niefield include Lufthansa Technik's A318 Elite conversion, recently moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma; the Boeing Business Jet programme; all HawkerBeechcraft programmes and "75%" of Gulfstream's; the Dassault Falcon jet; Pilatus programmes; and Jet Aviation completions.
Niefield attributes the company's successes to its quality and turnaround performance, noting that aviation customers are "very demanding" and insist on zero defects and on-time delivery.
Based at a 3,250m2 (35,000ft2) facility in Houston, the company employs 95 people. It offers 135 plating finishes across a range of metal types, including gold, white gold, chrome, nickel, copper, brass and platinum.
Among the diverse range of items that can be plated by HighTech Finishing are sinks, belt buckles and ashtrays.
