Business aviation services provider Ocean Sky is hoping to add three more European fixed-base operations this year to its six-strong portfolio, double its charter business within two years and grow its management fleet by 50% by the end of the year in its quest to be in the top three business aviation services providers on the continent.
The UK-headquartered company has FBOs in Prestwick, Scotland; Manchester; London Luton; and Ibiza, Mahon and Valencia in Spain. The new additions will also be in western Europe. "They will be acquisitions of existing companies," said Ocean Sky chief executive Steve Grimes.
Ocean Sky has ambitious plans for growth, including looking to expand its footprint at Luton and growing its charter brokering business.
Russia will remain an key region for expansion. Ocean Sky has a sales office in Moscow, but Grimes said other "opportunities" could include establishing a domestic service with a Russian partner.
