Houston-based Ontic has launched an aftermarket service for Hawker 800 and 800XPs equipped with Aviation Partners winglets.
The BBA Aviation subsidiary is now providing repair and exchange services for ailerons specially-modified by Aviation Partners' winglet installation. Ontic is aiming at serving a market sized at 130 Hawker 800 and 800XPs with the fuel-efficient wingtip add-ons.
With its facility near Houston's main international airport, Ontic is able to complete repair deliveries within a 24h period from an "extensive rotable inventory".
Aviation Partners received the supplemental type certificate to install blended winglets on the Hawker Beechcraft midsize business jet family in 2004.
