The European Aviation Safety Agency has received so many comments on its notice of proposed amendment requiring business aircraft operators to operate safety management systems, that implementation of the rule by the scheduled date of 8 April 2012 may not be feasible. EASA's section manager for aviation operations rulemaking Daniela Defossar told EBACE delegates that this fact may lead to the need for transitional arrangements beyond the planned compliance date.
