SR Technics has signed its second airliner completion contract with an undisclosed Middle Eastern customer. The Zurich-based maintenance, repair and overhaul specialist is a recent entrant to the cabin conversion sector after taking on its first VIP project - another Middle Eastern Airbus widebody - last year.
SR Technics says the the aircraft will receive a full cabin refresh and refurbishment to bring it back to an "as new" condition. In addition, a number of complex system modifications, in-flight entertainment upgrades and a concurrent C Check are planned.
New furniture and cabinets will also be added and a full systems modification performed, including an upgrade of the satellite communications system with an on-board GSM installation.
