European helicopter manufacturer Eurocopter has signed a DM12 million ($20 million) contract with the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern for two police-configured EC135s. The announcement brings the total number of orders for the twin-engined light helicopter to 55 - of which 15 have been delivered. The former East German state will take delivery of the helicopters in 1998.
