Eclipse Aviation has completed engine inlet icing tests on the Eclipse 500's Pratt & Whitney Canada PW610F turbofans and has expanded the very light jet's altitude envelope to 25,000ft (7,600m), it says. The Albuquerque, New Mexico-based company has also completed initial engine testing and low-speed taxi tests on its second certification test aircraft, N502EA, in preparation for flight testing this month. Certification is scheduled for March 2006.
