Denmark and Norway have become the first export customers for an enhanced version of Northrop Grumman's ALQ-162(V) electronic countermeasures (ECM) system. The company has received a contract for 33 sets of the internally mounted ECM system - 29 for Norway and four for Denmark. The aircraft to be equipped has not been revealed. The system has been installed in a wide range of aircraft flown by the US services. Denmark already operates an earlier version of the ALQ-162, but this is Norway's first order for the system.
