After 12 years’ restriction, the FAA has returned Ecuador to Category I. As a result, Aerogal and TAME, Ecuador’s leading airlines, are planning flights to Miami and New York. The Ecuadorian government’s update of its aviation law could restrict wet-lease operators like Chile’s LAN, which operated US flights on behalf of LanEcuador.
