EgyptAir has confirmed that one of its aircraft has lost radar contact while operating a flight from Paris to Cairo.
In a two-line statement, the airline says that flight MS804 departed Paris at 23:09 local time, and was enroute to its destination when it “disappeared from radar”. There are 59 passengers and 10 crew members on board.
It adds that more information will be disclosed as they become available.
Flightglobal’s Innovata schedules shows that MS804 is scheduled to operate with Boeing 737-800s. Flightradar24 however indicates that the airline was using an Airbus A320 on the service.
Flightglobal’s Fleets Analyzer shows that Egyptair has 55 aircraft in service, comprising A320 family jets, A330s, 737s and 777s.
